Marvin LaVoie: Academy of Distinguished Engineers - 1999

Since graduation, Marv LaVoie has worked for Tektronix, holding several positions from design engineer through project leader and principal engineer, culminating in the prestigious rank of Executive Tektronix Fellow in recognition of his contribution to the company. His achievements are mainly in the innovations that he has brought to Tek's portable and service instruments and differentiated product line. His work has helped increase the sampling rate of oscilloscopes by two to three orders of magnitude and has introduced novel features in focusing, calibration, and equipment architectures. In 1994 Mr. LaVoie's user interface system was honored by EDM Magazine as the "Innovation of the Year."
